Own Your Channel

There are a couple things you should know about network marketing. First, there is one fact that is true for all network marketing companies regardless of market or product: the size of your team determines the size of your check! As distributors, we are paid on product sales volume. And the size of your team is the most important factor in determining that volume. Big team… big money. Small team… small money. If you can’t build a team, it doesn’t matter how exciting the product is or how fast the company is growing. The only thing that matters is the size of your team or sales channel, and how much product moves through that channel.

Secondly, the typical network marketing company would have you distribute only their products. Of course, this makes no sense in the real world. Where would Sam Walton of Wal-Mart be today if he had built thousands of stores and then decided to sell only one product from one company? Not only that, but if your whole business revolves around a single company, then you work for that company, regardless of your job title.

Mr. Shurtleff began his legal career by serving four years in the Unites States Navy Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG), after which he chose to practice law in Southern California. Mr. Shurtleff was a Deputy County Attorney and a Commissioner of Salt Lake County. He then became an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Utah and was later elected Attorney General in November 2000. Mr. Shurtleff was re-elected in November 2004 and again in November 2008, and is the first Attorney General in Utah to win re-election for a third term. Mr. Shurtleff is, and has always been, a strong advocate for the small businessman and businesswoman in America.

Mr. Shurtleff is currently seeking the Republican nomination for United States Senate in 2010, for the State of Utah. His platform is “Taking Back America.” His platform is our platform, and we at OYC are honored that he has chosen to share his time with us. Mr. Shurtleff will be presenting his views on entrepreneurism in America. Being the Utah Attorney General has given him unique insights into the network marketing industry.
